sick G, ur sick, lol.
You should move to Tampa for all you know about hockey.
How many times in the Playoffs (if you've seen every Flames game like me) have you said to yourself "Iginla is unbelievable". Have you said that about Kipper? Please. Give me a ****ing break. Excuse my French.
Kipper's stats are a product of overall team defence. In Game 3, I doubt if he was even sweating after the shutout. Kipper also stunk against Vancouver. He has played well since, granted, but Calgary has got this far due to Iginla. It's not even worth debating.
As for Richards, that's also hogwash. The game winning goal stat is meaningless. If you score the 3rd goal and your team takes a 4-0 lead, then the other team score 2 goals, you get the game winning goal. Big deal.
When Sakic was scoring all those game winners when he set the previous record, they were legit big time goals at the end of games.
Iginla deserves the Conn Smythe regardless of what happens in the last two games, as the trophy is for overall playoff perfomance. The problem is, the hockey writers vote for it, and most of the American writers are clueless, basing their vote on stats.
True story.... When Theodore beat Iginla for the Hart two years ago, the difference was first place votes as they were tied. All the writers vote for their top 10 players. 10 points for first down to one point.
The Nashville writer forgot to include Iginla in his top 10, so Theodore wins the Hart. Another travesty. It's Kristin Babb-Sprague all over again. Only worse, because the vote should have never been that close in the first place. That year, several goalies had similar stats to Theodore, whereas Iginla was by far and away the best scorer.
If Iginla doesnt win the Conn Smythe and I get ripped off of my future bet, I will get the email of every member of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association and offer them a free dinner with sick gambler as punishment.
